He has special interests and training in revision / salvage foot and ankle surgical procedures due to poor surgical outcome or trauma. Also trained in several minimally-invasive surgical techniques for several conditions such as chronic plantar fasciitis.

Dr. Khalil is a Member of the residency teaching staff at DMC, St John Providence, Henry Ford Wyandotte and Beaumont Trenton Foot and ankle surgical residency's. Residency director of the Podiatric Medicine and Surgery program at Beaumont- Trenton. Member of multiple governing committees at the Beaumont and DMC hospital systems.

Outside work, he's a member of multiple non profit boards in the community that aid in local community needs from food banks, housing projects and medical needs and any various types of aid needed.
